Lighting-Forest began with a simple vision to combine exquisite craftsmanship with classic design to help people uniquely decorate their homes, making coming home the best time of the day.

WHY was Lighting-Forest born?

We live in a world where many things are mass-produced, making our pace of life ever-accelerating. We hope that there is an aspect that allows people to slow down and appreciate the beauty of life - lighting, which is something that home can use. At Lighting-Forest, all products should be handmade, and it is. 

Our History

Maxwell Ryan came to a countryside called the "Land of Bamboo Weaving" by chance, and the house here attracted him. Everything here is handmade, and everyone in this village has their skills and exchanges what they need with each other. There are no mass-produced tools, no heavily polluted air, and no loud noises. There is only hand weaving, the sound of wind, and birdsong.

Zhang Yuwei, a guy from this village, brought Maxwell Ryan to his secret base: there are all kinds of rattan light shades here. According to rumors, Zhang Yuwei likes rattan products very much. He asked a man to teach him. He studied for three years and finally gained something. According to his inspiration, he weaves different patterns of lampshades every day. But he has no support from his family (so he has this secret base). Maxwell Ryan was very moved. Seeing these handmade lampshades with character, he decided to help Zhang Yuwei sell these products, and he did. The sales of these lampshades in the Chinese market are very high, and Zhang Yuwei also received the support of his family. He taught his villagers how to weave lampshades, and now they make a living by weaving lampshades.

Maxwell Ryan believes that selling good products in the Chinese market should also be promoted to his country, the United States. In January 2022, we established our first multinational online store, https://www.lighting-forest.com/.
